Quality and food safety have been in focus at Einar Willumsen for many years. To further stress the importance of this and to optimize our processes, we are now working towards meeting the requirements of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Global Standard for food safety. Built on the principles of risk analysis, the standard specifies requirements to be met by an organization to enable development, production, packaging, storage and distribution of safe foods. The standard was originally developed in response to the needs of UK members of the British Retail Consortium, but has now gained usage worldwide, and is specified by growing numbers of retailers and branded manufacturers in the EU, North America and further afield.

To ensure that all requirements are met and implemented, we will go for certification by an independent third party Certification Body mid 2010.
